The Mystery of the Rune

Some of you have asked me what the mysterious rune is next to my name on this newsletter. As many Guided by Voices’ fans will know, it is a symbol created by the band’s primary singer/songwriter, Robert Pollard, that can be found on many of their album covers, starting with “Sunfish Holy Breakfast” (a 10 song EP) released in 1996.
